Opening of III Forks Restaurant in Southside (Out and About in Jax)

Last night I went to a reception honoring the opening of III Forks (pronounced "three forks") Jacksonville's newest fine dining establishment. Three Forks is a prime steakhouse that started in Dallas, Texas and soon branched out to two other locations in Texas and two in Florida. The Jacksonville location is III Fork's newest restaurant location. I had an awesome time! The food was absolutely incredible and the actual restaurant... I've never seen anything like it. The grand opening of a new restaurant in Jacksonville will benefit the Sulzbacher Center.

The III Forks restaurant is in Tapestry Park near Southpoint. The grand opening of the restaurant Dec. 1 is for invited guests who will be able to buy III Forks gift cards, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Sulzbacher Center. Aloft Hotel to Be Built in Prominent Business Park in Jacksonville, Florida. (AllBusiness)

Gatehouse Capital and Paige Sports Entertainment to Develop 136-Room Hotel

Dallas-based Gatehouse Capital Corp, announced today it has reached an agreement with a new equity partner, Paige Sports Entertainment of St. Louis, Missouri to construct a 136-room Aloft hotel in Jacksonville, Florida. The Aloft hotel will be located in Tapestry Park, a mixed-use development encompassing retail, office space, town homes and apartments. Tapestry Park is part of the greater Deerwood Park submarket that boasts more than 10 million square feet of office space located ten miles southeast of downtown Jacksonville. Deerwood's office tenants include a multitude of multinational corporations including one of Florida's largest employers, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and Merrill Lynch.
